Suits season 5 episode 1: Denial

Mike & Rachel

After publishing the post Nine things I learned from watching Suits and eagerly awaiting the premiere of the latest season of one of my favorite TV shows, I decided to do an episode by episode review (a la Vikings) of the season, starting with last week’s first episode: Denial.

It was a pretty boring episode, not much lawyering, tons of drama between Harvey & Donna. I think that leaving Harvey is the best decision Donna has made in years. Maybe that way there will be a chance for them to be romantically involved, as we all know they should.

Mike and Rachel are in cloud 9 after their engagement, and deservedly so. BUT… happiness is boring, too. *YAWN*.

Probably the best part about this episode was the ending, when Harvey flushes down his anxiety medication in lieu for finally accepting Donna has moved on with Louis, and that she isn’t coming back. Which is exactly the way things should be.

Still, not a very exciting start of the season. Hopefully they will up the antics before this turns into a soap opera snooze fest.

Rating: 2/5
